EditByBrothersoft: Tether Free is an application written to let you use the Internet on your iPhone for free. It uses the same access point for tethered access as your iPhone uses for normal data so as far as I can tell no additional charges *should* be incurred.

The download includes Carrier files for both ATT in the US as well as O2 in the UK – more will be added in the next few days.
